ABOUT US

Bay City Marine was founded in 1968 by David Lloyd and was incorporated on June 1, 1971. Since its founding, BCM has provided structural and mechanical repair services for commercial customers, the US Navy, and the US Coast Guard. We have worked on ships, barges, cutters, water tanks, cranes, wastewater treatment plants, and chemical and fuel storage facilities for 50 years of excellence.

Over the years, Bay City Marine has built boats such as ACUs, LCU-Ps, three tugboats for the U.S. Coast Guard, and an orbiter lifting frame in addition to conducting repairs on the USS Mercy, USS Arco, USS Freedom, FSV-Ruben Laser, and many more. We have also provided aerospace load testing and original designs for various customers including General Atomics and NASA. To this day, every satellite and craft entering space has equipment which was either tested or designed in our yard.

In the 2010s, Bay City Marine joined with YYK Enterprises, a paint, and preservation company, and BCM changed ownership and senior management. Under the new leadership, BCM has increased its presence in the maritime industry and currently holds three IDIQ contracts with MSC, NOAA, and SWRMC. BCM continues its aerospace load testing and design services and intends to become the go-to for the maritime industry.
